Several times before, UFC had plans for a reunion. The many tough girls — and of course a few fearless guys — who joined since 1999 the past eight UFC editions created something unique together through the Ultimate Fitness Challenge and later the international Ultimate Forces Challenge. Because one thing is certain: there is no such thing as an ex-UFC contestant.

Once UFC… Always UFC.

It quickly became clear that simply surviving the legendary Hell Weekend selection together with the Royal Netherlands Marines was already a Challenge on its own. For the hundreds of applicants each year, making “The Final 50” became the ultimate goal. Most contestants didn’t even think about semifinals or finals yet.

“First survive Hell Weekend… then we’ll see what happens next.”
That became the UFC mindset.

And yes — a UFC Reunion has been discussed many times before. In fact, many of you asked for it. But UFC has never been a regular sports club where members casually train every week. Organizing a UFC event, producing it for television, and preferably staging it in an incredible warm-weather location somewhere in the world, is an enormous and expensive operation.

Every edition depends on sponsors, broadcasters, timing, logistics… and sometimes simply luck.

Over the years UFC faced many interruptions beyond our control: a major camera sponsor pulling out at the last minute, banking recessions, personal circumstances, streaming broadcasters failing on us, disappointing production partners, Covid-19, a slowly recovering economy, and now increasing international tensions — all factors that make a global military-style sports event even more challenging to produce.

But now… with a new UFC edition once again slowly moving forward, this feels like the perfect moment to finally organize an official UFC Contestants Reunion. Not only for you — but honestly, for us too. Because producing every new UFC remains an Ultimate Challenge in itself.

And above all… we would simply love to see your faces again too.

Soon, office@ufc.nl will be active again.
Send us your response there — and if you would like to attend the UFC Reunion, include your name and phone number. You will then automatically receive additional information, details and your personal QR-code access pass by email.
