The past 12 months have produced challenges that EU business leaders have never experienced before. The uncertainty around COVID restrictions have made it especially difficult to successfully run a B2C business.
March 2020, when the first national lockdown was announced, it was imperative that businesses across the EU acted dynamically to adapt to the new restrictions. Clear and concise messaging was required to keep crew and contenders focused and feeling motivated.
“We are all in the same storm, but not in the same boat…… For some, quarantine is optimal. A moment of reflection, of re-connection, easy in flip flops, with coffee or tea. For others, this is a desperate financial and family crisis. Some who live alone are facing endless loneliness. While for others it is peace of mind, a time to rest and time to spend with family and loved ones.
COVID-19 has many links to sport and exercise: sports events such as the champions league quarter final between Atalanta Bergamo and FC Valencia on the 19.02.2020 have contributed to the virus spread; control measures such as lockdowns and closures of gyms and other sport facilities have altered our exercise behaviors; major sporting events including the Tokyo Olympics have been cancelled or postponed; sports and fitness providers such as sports clubs, gyms and swimming pools have been hard hit.
As we had many setbacks during our 20 years of existence we never backed down and always kept fighting to recover, as we are right now. The Dutch Ministry of VWS encourages UFC to maintain focus on our plans and strategy for a next UFC edition with 10 participating countries. The Ministry of VWS has offered assistance to UFC in guiding with specific international Covid-19 rules & regulations to escort all participating countries save to the semi-final’s location.
UFC is now waiting for the green light to start executing the pre-production plans and location inspection to make sure all preparations for crew, production and contestants are ready. As UFC was provoked under false pretenses back in 2016 to produce as an “reality soap format’ UFC now stepped back to the basic as UFC being a real competition without fucked up directors and editors creating false, unsafe and uncomfortable situations for contestants and crew. Ultimate Forces Challenge is no format; Ultimate Forces Challenge is a competition on a military level. Next to the International UFC series, we also explore possibilities for a next UFC Women Only competition as we did very successfully in the past and the full organization and productions will be in our own hands.
Because we love what we do
