Happy new year to you all. We hope you celebrated the start of 2020 in good spirits with family and friends. Now that we’re a few days into the new year, it’s good to look ahead and think about what this year may bring us.

In short, the current circumstances are all quite challenging to work in. But no matter what the circumstances are, we must not lose sight of our priority: to be strong and be sustainable which put our events at the heart of everything we do. Showing our UFC partners & fans how we can support them in their outdoor sports by providing new challenges.

It’s important for us to use our time wisely and move forward as decisively and swiftly as we can in 2020 with our future events. That will only be possible with your and our continued dedication and teamwork. Primarily in your own business, but equally across the whole group. While we’ve successfully separated our businesses operationally, we need to continue to work together in order to create successful businesses in close cooperation with our partners.

The number of original scripted television shows has soared to once unimaginable heights—an increase of 69% over the last five years across all outlets and an astronomical 680% online—taking the price of content along with it. At another level, video-on-demand (VOD) has boosted international. Although the full impact of subscription VOD (SVOD) on content and rights has yet to materialize, significant changes in the industry predate the arrival of SVOD.

UFC will continue on both as VOD and SVOD with its broadcasting partners in 2020 and the path has been set.

Because we love what we do
