Pursue the Extra Mile No One Wants To Do

“Don’t be content with doing only your duty. Do more than your duty. It’s the horse that finishes a neck ahead wins the race. This is not to let yourself be like a doormat and heed to every request that any person asks. Far from it. Focus on how to use the skill to inspire others and go the extra mile…

Many audiences have been fed up with appealing headlines, photos or memes. They are enticed to click them only to find a link that links to another link before you can read or see it. Many times, it’s just plain trash. Nothing that will benefit the viewer. This strategy may work for a while but it will never create a lasting impact to your audience.

Do not let perfectionism get in the way of sharing what you have. Before you share something, ask yourself:

  • Is it worth their time and attention?
  • Will they learn something from it?
  • Is it merely a fluff to get their attention?
  • Is it a subject I want others to associate with us?

I don’t know about you, but I am oh-so-tired of clichés: “You need to put on your own oxygen mask before you can help others”; or, “The Chinese word for crisis combines the characters for opportunity and danger (actually that’s not even true)”; or, questions like “What keeps you up at night?” and “What would it take for us to win your business?” These are uninspiring expressions–hearing them is like listening to one of those 1970s FM radio hits for the 10,000th time.

Now that you know what you are trying to do, you need to differentiate above the rest. How do you do this? Longer distance? Higher cliff? More depth? Heavier weights? Maybe a surprise act in the middle of a challenge, to the rope of a lifeline. We’ve done this all (and more!) before, and we’ve got it covered for everything.

That’s the reason why UFC will be different each edition. We don’t want to be that predictable obstacle course which you have done already hundreds of times, they become boring and won’t challenge you after a couple of times. At the same time we challenge your intelligence instead of boring climbing and descending. That’s also the reason why most contestants won’t make it to the finish, just because we don’t want you to, challenging you to become better next time.

Mean time almost 20 years ago we found out clearly people are bored quit easily and need to be challenged over and over again and that’s why we raise the bar each edition. In the Photonis Ultimate Forces Challenge at Bali Island we added Night Vision and what a great succes it was. All the contestants knew was, we will enter the night challenge’ and they were all out of their comfort zone, not knowing what to expect… That’s the extra mile we are looking for each edition.

To create that extra mile, you’ll need extraordinary partners like Photonis who innovate constantly and differentiate themselves form the rest. UFC and Photonis is a great match, while both partners are constantly looking to stand out of the crowd.

It won’t be a surprise to you we already got that extra mile for the next 2019 edition. There are so many elements you havent experienced yet… Let that be a signal to you for facing your next challenge. We’re looking forward to it.

A true love for sports
